De route naar Antwerp Pride

BY CAR

coming from

1) AMSTERDAM/UTRECHT/DEN HAAG/BREDA From Breda take the A19 straight to Antwerp.

2) PARIS From Paris take the A1 to ‘Rijsel’. After ‘Combles’ take the A2 in the directions of ‘Bergen/Mons’. In ‘Mons/Bergen’ follow directions to Brussel on the E19. On the R0, ring around Brussels, follow Antwerp at the intersection ‘Machelen’. Travel further on the A1/E19 until you reach your destination.

3) COLOGNE / AACHEN From Cologne take the A4/E314 and travel past Aachen. Drive always straight on through a small part of Holland into Belgium on the A2/E314. At the Intersection ‘Lummen’, follow Antwerp over the E313. Travel further until you reach your destination.

4) DUISBURG / EINDHOVEN From Duisburg take the A40/E34 to Venlo at the Dutch border. Travel further on over the A67/E34 past Eindhoven. From the Belgian border you travel further on the A21/E34 until you reach the intersection with the E313. Just drive straight on until you reach Antwerp.


PARK YOUR CAR

For most parking facilities in Antwerp a fee is to be paid. Parking in the city centre is of course more expensive then arround it. Make sure to check whether your hotel provides (free) parking space.

BY TRAIN

Anyone who chooses to visit Antwerp by train will end his journey in the magnificent Central Station. It was built in 1905, was recently renovated. It now extends to two floors below ground. The station is widely regarded as one of the finest examples of railway architecture in the world.

Visitors from England will find cheap tickets to Brussels/Antwerp if they book early in advance.

2) THALYS from Paris, Amsterdam, Cologne, …

From France, Germany and Holland, Thalys offers great service at affordable prices.


Attention, if you come from abroad and travel with Eurostar or Thalys, your trainticket might include the use of regular Belgian railways.


Thalys services arrive directly in Antwerp. Passengers of the Eurostar can use the Belgian railways to travel from Brussels (Bruxelles-midi/zuid) to Antwerp at no extra cost.


BY PLANE

Antwerp can easily be reached throughout several airports, Antwerp Airport, Brussels Airport, Charleroi Airport and Eindhoven Airport. All airports are connected to Antwerp by train (Eindhoven via Breda)
